Strategy:

  • Read laterally
    • leave an unfamiliar site almost immediately
    • open new tabs and investigate outside the site itself
    • use Google, Wikipedia, or library resources to learn more about the site
    • if using Google, scroll down to the bottom of the results, sometimes even go to the second or third page!

Copy and paste the URL of the news site's image and see where it originally came from! Make sure you copy the image URL or you can download the image and then upload it into these nifty search engines.
