The LIBRARY IS OPEN ONLY MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (exceptions are Labor Day and Thanksgiving)

For REMOTE SERVICES, listed below are the times that a Chabot College LIBRARIAN can CHAT with you & Chabot College Library STAFF Services are available (Note: Chat reference itself is still available 24/7!)

Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Saturday CLOSED.

Exceptions: Labor Day (September 6), Veterans Day (November 12), Thanksgiving Holiday (November 24-27)

What you should learn:

  • Become a better consumer of information
    • Identify the types of supporting material (the guts of your speech)
    • Find and evaluate the usefulness of supporting material
    • Learn how to evaluate web sites
  • Cite your sources
    • Oral citations
    • In-text citations
    • Full citation on a reference sheet
