The purpose of this research project is to dig a little deeper into our class readings and assignments. You will choose one California OR Southwest Native American Tribe to research and develop a paper that focuses on their history, their relationship to major time periods and contemporary events about this group. You will also connect major themes (at least three), as discussed in class to your research paper, such as colonization, genocide, treaties, land, and natural resources.
