"Essay #2 is a research-based, argumentative paper (6-8 body paragraphs minimum + intro and conclusion) that begins with a specific, researchable question you have after reading The Line Becomes a River.
The goal of this assignment is to learn about your topic and write a good paper, but also learn how to find and use a variety of sources, including academic sources, that you will access from the Chabot Library.
The best topics tend to be the ones that matter to you personally. You will research until you have good information to answer your question, and then you will present to your reader a thesis-driven argument on your topic (NOT just an informative report).
