African American students and Pacific Islander students have course success rates consistently well below the college average (see Figure B-2)
From Fall 2015 to Spring 2020, 74% to 78% of new non-Black students persisted from fall to spring, whereas only 63% to 66% of new Black students persisted fall to spring (see Figure B-9)
To address the equity gap in success rates between African American students and all other students in distance education (see 2020-21 Chabot Annual Distance Education Report)
