For Argumentative papers, persuasive speeches, debates and more-- These databases listed below help students easily find opposing viewpoints to their hot topic of discussion.

Major Magazine Articles and Book Chapters (Get a Quick Overview)

History/Cutlture/Ethnic Studies

LitCrit (English 4 Assignments)

Listed here are resources that more often are closer at the K-12 reading level.  Keep in mind some English 4 novels that are published in the past five years will usually have little published literary criticisms at this point so student will more likely pursue a HISTORY or culture related search instead.  Otherwise, in most cases literary criticisms that are not as overtly academic are listed below.

Articles Plus

For students that prefer to search "everything," they can use Articles Plus.  Have them focus on RESEARCH STARTERS first though as this can be overwhelming to them at first like a Google search.

LitCrit: Why Notes (Cliffs, Etc.) are NOT helpful
